There are different ways of honing Armaments.
The easiest one you would say, is the blue honing chip, and then you have the purple (Advanced) chip.
Honing your armaments, improves your attributes, which done correctly can make your heroes stronger in battle.

The blue honing chip we advise you to use, to get purple stats on your Armaments.
For golden/legendary stats, we will make use of the so called advanced chip, we would advise you to use them only, on golden gear.
You can have two of the same hones in the same equipment, as shown on the picture.
With this being said, lets take a look, at the honing skills.
Honing skills
Some of the most important honing attributes are done to the exclusive devices (legendary), which will give it an extra boost in important stats.
The most important stats to hone provided by the game, in a short order:
Troop specific ATK/DEF
Troop specific Lethality
Troop specific Block
Squad ATK/DEF/block
Squad basic attack DMG
Troop Lethality, and troop block are the second most important hone attributes you can have, be cause of the “additional damage dealt to enemy” and the higher the block “the less damage you receive”.
Lastly to mention in the buttom we have, Squad TRVL SPD.
Bear in mind, that this attribute is very good, if you are running a “Rider main” account, which requires a lot of speed for you. Or if you run a pair “Fast field build” a squad consisting on two fast heroes, like “Sophie/Lynne” or “Adut/Miyamoto” that require you to go faster.
You will wanna pick attributes, that will help you in Field/Rally or Garrison. We advise you to first concentrate about field stats for your hero, and only go for Rally or Garrison stats, if they are “Red”.
You can have two of the same attributes honed, in the same equipment, as shown on the picture.
The game provides with events for honning your armaments.
- Do not spend these valuable items on armaments, outside events. (this is a loss of rewards)
The two events where honinh armaments give rewards in return are:
- Top Commander (Allstar event)
In top commander as a part of competing for legendary heroes with superweapons on day 5/6 you receive points for honing armaments, which contributes to your whole standing in the event with points towards a top rank. - Honning Challange
Honning event is very simple. Use advanced honing chips on your armaments, to receive rewards in return. If you invest enough you can even get bigger rewards for your efforts.
Our advise is always the most profitable for you, and we advise to use the possibility for most in return by doing Honning challange event.
Honning challange
We recommend you to use the purple (advanced) chip to hone in the event called (honing challange), which is an event you can hone, and get back honing chips (Advanced).
For 60 (Advanced) hone chip you can get 1 (Entermediate hone core), to get a guaranteed golden/legendary stat on your Armaments.
For 150 (Advanced) hone chip you can get a (Advanced hone core) which can get you one of the greatest stats in the game (red attributes).
In our opinion and as a tip for you, is to get 150 as a minimum, for a guaranteed red (advanced hone core).
You can of cause also go beyond, for 300, 550 or 1000 honings.
Keep in mind though if you do hone (550 points), you will automatically get in to the top50, which will in the event also give you a reward of 1 extra guaranteed red (advanced hone core).
If looking at the reward page, and the rewards, in top3 you can see another Red (Skill Hone Core), which some of you might have figured is for even more advanced honings.
These Red (Skill Hone core), are used on a specific gear, the superb legendary gear, which is for the 5th and last spot in the gear, to obtain it with red attributes.
Obtaining honing chips
To obtain honing chips, we recommend the easiest ways, the game has provided us.
Arena of Doom
You can obtain honing chips through the Arena of Doom store.
Shipment center (trucks)
As well daily you can attack trucks in the Shipment Center, and have a chance to steal some of these chips.
Battlegrounds (BG)
One of the main sources of honing chips (Advanced) is through the battlegrounds, obtain points and spin the wheel. (this resets weekly).
VIP Store
VIP store has an option also for you to purchase the honing chips, but we would not recommend this, for the price.
Armament shop
The armament shop resets weekly, and gives us the opportunity to exchange for advanced as well basic honing chip.
Investment events
Events that also provide honning chips, but require investments in form of gold or money.
Gunfire gala event
Gunfire gala, is known also to reward Red (Advanced Hone Core), but bear in mind, this event is a lot paid to win, and unless you are a spender we would not rely on this.

Secret contact, an event that comes along with Alliance League, gives you the possibility to invest money for some big packs containing honing chips.
